Cousin Jamey and Annie put together a trip to the Sox game for us and Umpa. So we all donned our Sox gear, loaded up everyone into our car and away we drove to the Cell. Paige passed out on the way and Quinn lasted a little longer, which allowed the adults to have a little convo on the way. We made decent time and parked just under a mile away, not bad for arriving 25 minutes before first pitch but it had to start raining just as we began getting out of the car. So with two very sleepy kids in tow we began the trek to the Cell.It was just a drizzle so no big deal, but those kids weigh a ton! The P's may need to visit Auntie Lisa for a quick adjustment soon, ugh! We dragged them all the way up to the upper deck, second row from the top in Section 528. Ever been there? Now that is a view!! Hope nobody has vertigo, jeez!

This of course delayed the start of the game to 7:45pm, what else would you expect when taking a 14 month and 3 and 3/4 year old to a ballgame!
They handled it like troopers, Paige took a least three innings just to wake up and Quinn doesn't care where he is as long as there are chicks to flirt with! He had all the young and old ladies fawning over him. He also need some get up and move time so Sean took him for a walk on the concourse in the sea of baseball humanity.
We walked through the gift shop, nothing there for a one year old. We stopped by the Guest relations and got certificates for Paige and Quinn's first Sox game, pretty cool way to memorialize the start of a new generation of fans. Then we stopped and bought a Sox die cast truck for the little guy yo play with, something tells me that the bat and ball would not be good in the upper deck seats. Can you say DUCK!!
We played in the left field corner of the concourse and then he wanted to walk so we toddled back through the crowd until he got scared of all the people around him and luckily made it back to our seats for the first pitch.
They both did pretty well, ate some dogs, drank some high fructose corn syrup, Paige had popcorn and superrope! Quinn traveled overlaps back and forth from person to person. And then promptly passed out before the 7th inning, NICE!

Paige was very interested in the game, she asked Marsha a thousand questions, got into the rally cries and cheers and even tried to get on the big screen by dancing and waving and everything else. No such luck though.
The game ended with the Sox winning, no thanks to Linnebrink, Umpa didn't have a heart attack, Quinn slept, Marsha got sweaty under boy, Jamey and Annie got out with their relatives and Paige and I snuggled as we prepped to leave.
Remember the description of the walk in, well the way out is 10x's worse. The kids were heavier, as was the traffic and people, the cars was parked in Katmandu and of course there was ore rain. Wouldn't want to go home with out some sort of memento of the game!
All in all a good night, got back home around 11:40pm, knowing Quinn would be up in about 5 hours!
